We’re excited to share a major milestone from our collaboration with HostGator LATAM. Gator Protect, powered by Monarx, is now securing more than 600,000 HostGator customers across Latin America.

At this level of scale, hosting providers can’t rely on individual customers to detect threats or support teams to clean up infected websites. Security needs to be built into the hosting infrastructure and operate across entire server environments. That’s exactly what HostGator LATAM is doing with Gator Protect, powered by Monarx.

Monarx is an AI-first server security company designed for hosting providers, enabling hosting companies to detect and prevent malicious activity, automate cleanup, and protect customer environments without adding more complexity for hosting teams or their customers.

By integrating Monarx technology directly into Gator Protect, HostGator LATAM has made malware monitoring and detection part of the hosting experience itself. While all 600,000+ customers benefit from Gator Protect’s baseline monitoring and detection, more than 3,000 have upgraded to Gator Protect Pro, which adds automated malware blocking and removal.

AI-first security designed for hosting environments

Securing a hosting environment is very different from protecting a single website. Hosting providers manage hundreds of thousands of accounts, with billions of files, applications, plugins, and scripts running across large server fleets.

They need to detect threats quickly while ensuring the cleanup process doesn’t create more work for their security, infrastructure, or support teams. Monarx addresses this challenge with an AI-first approach, detecting and responding to malicious behavior across entire hosting environments and automating malware remediation at scale.

Across HostGator LATAM’s infrastructure, Monarx proactively protects more than 28 billion files through continuous monitoring, early threat detection, and automated remediation. To date, the platform has performed more than 51 million proactive security actions, identifying and neutralizing threats before they can escalate and helping keep customer environments protected.

By powering Gator Protect at the infrastructure level, Monarx enables HostGator LATAM to deliver security at hosting scale while minimizing the need for manual intervention.

The next milestone for Gator Protect

HostGator LATAM plans to continue increasing adoption of Gator Protect Pro throughout 2026 and 2027, while keeping core protection available to eligible customers. Gator Protect, powered by Monarx, is already securing HostGator customers in more than 10 countries across Latin America, including Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina.

For us, this partnership is a strong example of where hosting security is heading. Security shouldn’t be an external product that customers need to configure and manage separately. Instead, it should be part of the hosting stack, automated wherever possible and designed around the operational realities of hosting providers at scale.
